Raindrop for Kids


The Raindrop Technique is a great way to prepare kids for school. It’s also a great way to get them used to using Young Living’s essential oils at an early age. It helps to support their immune system as they start their school.

To perform the Raindrop, have the child lay quietly on a bed or massage table on his or her back.

1. Start with Valor®. Put a drop in each hand. Cross your arms and apply Valor to the child’s feet. Hold the feet and wait for an energy change in the body.

2. Have the child roll on to his or her tummy to put the oils on the back. Rub your finger over the bottle to get a small amount of oil on your finger, then rub the oil up the back starting at the lower back. Watch for any redness or discomfort.

3. One at a time apply oregano, thyme, basil, cypress, wintergreen, marjoram, and peppermint to the back. Children can be more sensitive to the oils, so be sure to check after each oil to make sure there is no redness or discomfort and apply V‑6 oil if necessary.

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use.

Aromatherapy – How to apply Essential Oil


Smell is only one of the five senses directly linked to limbic – the emotional control center — of the brain. By diffusing essential oils could help to re-establish balance where stress, depression or mental discomfort has disrupted healthy emotion function.

There are two aromatherapy ways to use essential oils:

Through inhalation

  • Inhale directly – simply smell them from the bottle.
  • Diffuse through diffuser , which disperse the oil through micro-fine vapor into the air.
  • Use with humidifier. Put a tissue or small cloth, sprinkled with a few drops of oils, in front of the escaping steam. **Do not put essential oil in your humidifier. it will float on top of the water and may cause damage to your humidifier.
  • Carefully pour hot water into a bowl and add a few drops of essential oil. Cover your head and bowl with a towel. Breathe deeply and slowly.

** Do not heat the oils, as extreme heat can damage important constituents in the oil.

Topical application

One of many safe essential oils application is topical application.

Follow the following simple steps for topical application:

  1. Tip the oil bottle carefully and place 2 – 3 drops in the palm of your hand or directly apply on to desired application area.
  1. When dropped oil in your hand, rub palms together in a circular motion and massage oil onto the desired point of application. If applied directly to the desired area, use your hand to massage the oil in a circular motion into the skin. Repeat if desired.
  1. Essential oils could be applied directly to the skin, Key areas for topical application are:

  • Soles and tops of feet

Caution Essential oils are very potent and some may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs, immediately apply pure vegetable oil onto the area to dilute.
